FAQs

You can ask your vet to provide a prescription for any medication they prescribe for your animal. This can then be used to purchase the medication online. You have a legal right to request a prescription — so don’t feel shy or embarrassed to ask; vets are used to this!
Please note, your vet must have examined your animal recently to issue a prescription.

Prescriptions are typically valid for 6 months. However, for controlled (scheduled) drugs, the prescription is only valid for 28 days.

Your vet will specify the quantity of medication prescribed. We cannot dispense more than the amount stated, even if the prescription is still within its
validity period.

Not necessarily. If your prescription allows for a larger quantity than you initially ordered, you can use it again until the full amount is dispensed as long as the expiry date has not been reached.

For example, your vet may prescribe:

  • 180 tablets — you can order all 180 at once, or in parts (e.g. 60 tablets every 2 months).
  • 60 tablets + 2 repeats — this also equals 180 tablets, and you may choose to order them all at once or in stages.

How you manage this is up to you — some prefer to spread the cost, while others like to order everything in one go.

Returned medicines may have been exposed to unsuitable storage or tampering, so we cannot resell them.

However, we are happy to safely dispose of unused medications for you.

Cancellations are not possible once the order has been dispensed — even if the incorrect dosage was ordered — unless the issue is due to our error or a product recall.

Ideally, upload your prescription at the same time as placing your order.

Sending prescriptions beforehand may cause delays, as no order will be created until one is placed. If you want us to review your prescription first, we can — just be sure to resend it when placing your order.
