The Covetrus® Pet Intestinal Formula Paste for Cats & Dogs provides immediate response to maintain normal digestive function and helps in the reduction of acute intestinal absorptive disorders during periods of recovery from acute diarrhoea. 

The formula paste contains glutamine peptide, a stable natural source of the amino acid glutamine. One of its main functions is to provide fuel for rapidly dividing gut cells such as mucosal immune cells and epithelial enterocytes.

In stress situations and catabolism, mucosal cells and lymphoid tissue in the gut utilise glutamine to help maintain the integrity of the mucosa and reduce bacterial translocation to the mesenteric lymph nodes. Glutamine stimulates both B and T lymphocyte function and increases immunoglobulin synthesis.
